Brainy Alley is designed to challenge each child into exploring several approaches to problem solving and presenting solutions, whether it involves writing, math, or building projects. Persistence in the search for more than one solution to any problem and mutual respect among all children are strongly advocated.
All activities also promote " can-do " attitudes, cooperation, and networking among the children. These different critical skill sets are formed as children are encouraged to help and critique each other positively.
Classes may include a vocabulary challenge, an improv skit and/or a building activity based on a theme/picture-book, to facilitate comprehension of writing concepts or math assignments. These activities form the three different parts of the program, and are called Expressways, Creative Licenses and Construction Zones. Brainy Alley fosters these different presentation styles so that children have opportunities to express themselves in different ways.
