Kirti Vyas

Author, Teacher, and Entrepreneur

In her heart of hearts, Kirti Vyas believes she can make any art. Her head knows better, but that does not stop her from having a go at it all – writing, illustrating, designing, making jewelry or collages, as paper is her favorite medium. Writing, however, has always been both her beacon and her harbor, above all.

A certified K-6, and Secondary-School Language Arts teacher with a Master of Science degree in Education and a Diploma in Writing Children's Literature, Kirti teaches writing to motivated students. And she writes. Kirti has written curriculum for ELA, advertisements, articles, blogs, corporate brochures, website content, instructional manuals, product descriptions, workbooks for her emerging writers, and most recently, a compilation of her poems. She is on track to publish a collection of stories and more.

An extreme mom, a writer, an entrepreneur, and a former school teacher, Kirti founded Brainy Alley Writing and Critical-thinking Classes in 2007 to support young thinkers into becoming proficient writers. She believes that creativity can be taught, and success is more than a goal—it is an attitude.

Kirti has always been involved in writing and books in some way or the other as far back as she can remember. When she is not reading or writing, she is either book-hunting, or crafting, or hanging out in Fairfield, Connecticut, with her friends and family – her husband, two sons, all avid readers, and their dogs, Chewbacca and Bigby, where the conversation often revolves around, yes, all things books!
